How It Works

The Towable Big Shax Enclosure is designed for mobility and ease of use, featuring a base equipped with two skids and a removable tow hitch for towing. The innovative design allows operators to transport the enclosure directly to the site of essential equipment or pumps without disassembly or disconnection of the pump’s suction or discharge lines. By attaching a loader to the Towable Shax, the operator can easily maneuver the enclosure over a fully operational pump setup.

Key design features of the Towable Shax include full-width swing doors on both the front and back, ensuring easy access and closure once positioned. The absence of a floor in the enclosure facilitates this straightforward equipment placement. Additionally, the enclosure incorporates collapsible swing arms at its base and a removable tow hitch, enhancing its portability and adaptability to various site conditions.

Once correctly positioned, the operator removes the tow hitch and secures the enclosure by closing the swing doors, leaving only the necessary flip-up doors open to accommodate the pump’s discharge and suction lines, thus maintaining a weatherproof environment within. Depending on the pump’s configuration and discharge direction, the operator can adjust the flip-up doors on the enclosure’s sump side to ensure a snug fit.

The Towable Shax is equipped with a generator to power the enclosure, ensuring it remains a self-contained, highly insulated, and compliant space for its critical equipment. The setup includes interior and exterior lighting and electric heating to prevent equipment freezing. It adheres to OH&S and building code standards, making the Towable Big Shax a versatile and efficient solution for protecting vital operational equipment in various environments.
